Types of membership
Anyone committed to consciously using their breath is welcomed to become a Member of the BRS. Some members are also:
1. Practitioners
They are professional Rebirthers abiding by the BRS Code of Ethics and Practice, who pay an additional sum to cover insurance and publicity.
BRS Practitioner Rebirthers are well-trained, competent Rebirthers who have sufficient skill in Rebirthing to satisfy the BRS Practitioner requirements.
2. Apprentice Practitioners
BRS Apprentice Practitioner Rebirthers are undergoing training with the guidance of a BRS Practitioner and are beginning to set up their Rebirthing practice.
Becoming a practitioner
A candidate for BRS Practitioner is required to:
- attend one General Meeting before making the application for Membership to announce his/her intention.
- satisfy the Practitioner Prerequisites.
- present oneself at a further Meeting.
- comply with:
- The Code of Ethics and Practice
- The Ongoing Requirements of Membership.

Becoming an apprentice practitioner
A candidate for BRS Apprentice Practitioner is required to:
- satisfy the Apprentice Practitioner Prerequisites
- present themselves at a General Meeting.
- comply with:
- The Code of Ethics and Practice
- The Ongoing Requirements of Membership

BRS membership
All members are required to pay the annual subscription.
Lapsed practitioner members
Practitioners whose membership has lapsed for ten years or less may give a short re-presentation. This is an opportunity for interaction and reconnection with the Society.
Practitioners whose membership has lapsed for longer than ten years will need to re-apply following the usual procedure for new applicants.
