Who and what is the BRS?The British Rebirth Society

What does the BRS do?

History of the British Rebirthing Society

The British Rebirthing Society was formed in 1980 when Leonard Orr was in London for the second rebirther training held in the UK. The society was originally called the Rebirthing Society and was connected to a journal created by John Hunt. This was later called Earth Breathes and then Breathe.

In 1981 the first Rebirthing registration process was established. It was based upon the Findhorn principles of self acknowledgement before peers and followed by an intuitive unanimous vote. It was from this time that the firsts standards of Rebirthing in Britain were established.
